Sarah Palin has decided not to seek the Presidency in 2012. Although many have suggested she run, her decision not too long ago, to leave the Alaska Governorship for her family always suggested that this would be her decision for 2012.

Sarah’s letter …

After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.

My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office — from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law.

From the bottom of my heart I thank those who have supported me and defended my record throughout the years, and encouraged me to run for President. Know that by working together we can bring this country back — and as I’ve always said, one doesn’t need a title to help do it.

I will continue driving the discussion for freedom and free markets, including in the race for President where our candidates must embrace immediate action toward energy independence through domestic resource developments of conventional energy sources, along with renewables. We must reduce tax burdens and onerous regulations that kill American industry, and our candidates must always push to minimize government to strengthen the economy and allow the private sector to create jobs.

Those will be our priorities so Americans can be confident that a smaller, smarter government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people can better serve this most exceptional nation.

In the coming weeks I will help coordinate strategies to assist in replacing the President, re-taking the Senate, and maintaining the House.

Thank you again for all your support. Let’s unite to restore this country!

    God bless America.

    — Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin notes that the downgrade of US debt is not unexpected. If anything, there has been warning after warning after warning, and she has written in the past that this was coming.

She wrote back in December of 2010:

“If the European debt crisis teaches us anything, it’s that tomorrow always comes. Sooner or later, the markets will expect us to settle the bill for the enormous Obama-Pelosi-Reid spending binge. We’ve already been warned by the credit ratings agency Moody’s that unless we get serious about reducing our deficit, we may face a downgrade of our credit rating.” And again in January, in response to President Obama’s State of the Union address I wrote: “With credit ratings agency Moody’s warning us that the federal government must reverse the rapid growth of national debt or face losing our triple-A rating, keep in mind that a nation doesn’t look so ‘great’ when its credit rating is in tatters.”

Palin notes that the time for getting real about the deficit is now. Before the US suffers additional downgrades.

This means real cutting.

Not phantom cuts in future years that never happen.

The time for accounting gimmicks from Washington needs to end.

Finally, Sarah warns to be wary of any fixes being promoted by Obama. That is because the fixes entail government oversight and regulation which are strangling the country.

If we want to reduce the deficit through economic growth, then we need to promote growth and less red tape.

As usual, any book by a former aide needs to leak some time of negative and claimed scandalous material to try and made sales. This is standard operating procedure in the political celebrity tell-all circuit.

Even though Bailey worked for Palin for many years, and collected a paycheck, now that he needs another paycheck he claims that actions he took working for Sarah were mistakes and not really his fault – but were caused by the prodding of Sarah or other family members.

That’s pretty much all one needs to one about this book. As far as scandalous material – there really isn’t any.

Bailey claims scheduling Palin’s events was a nightmare, her calendar often changed, and sometimes she missed events promoters thought she would be at.

Yawn.

Bailey also claims Sarah’s heart wasn’t in Alaska after the presidential campaign, and coming back to face dozens of frivolous Democratic ethics charges, and having the opportunity to make more money elsewhere, is what led to her leaving the governorship.

That really isn’t scandal.

More like human nature and taking advantage of an opportunity to forever financially benefit her family.

One of the co-authors is Jeanne Devon, a long-time critic of Sarah Palin. According to a self-penned article a few years ago in the Huffington Post, Devon referred to herself as “AKmuckraker” – and the very first thing she criticized about Sarah’s Going Rogue book was that it did not have an index.

Sigh.

Another co-author, Ken Morris, once offered Sarah $100,000 to have dinner with him and other members of his left-wing group. Apparently looking to be seen with Palin to legitimize himself.

More sighs.

Looks more like an attempted hit piece by long-time critics than a critically reviewed piece of authorship.

Anyway, there are of course interesting behind the scenes tidbits of governance and political ambition not always apparent to the public.

“I feel so bad for his children – for his four beautiful children. It must be quite embarrassing for them. And it’s an irresponsible and really pretty disgusting thing he did in pretty much denying that he had a child for ten years. That’s how I look at it. It speaks to his character. It’s sad.”

It was recently revealed that Schwarzenegger and a long-time housekeeper secretly had a child over a dozen years ago. The housekeeper recently left the household. Arnold and Maria Shriver have now separated.

Sarah Palin issues her Blood Libel Video responding to liberals trying to score political points from the Arizona assassination attempt of Representative Giffords.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Ironically, the shooter was not a right-wing critic of Gabrielle Giffords. Instead, if anything, a left-wing pot smoking nut case. Getting to the bottom line: this was not a political issue. The shooter was simply a maniac. Obsessed with Representative Giffords for years. Years before the Tea Party was even born.

But that hasn’t stopped some in this country where politics is poison. Where it is more important to try and destroy someone with an opposing viewpoint than it is to do the people’s business.

That is why voters keep voting for change. Kicking out incumbents, first Republicans, and now Democrats, until someone gets the message.

Now we see it again. First Palin is attacked by the left in the aftermath of the shootings and killings. Now she is again attacked because she uses the phrase ‘blood libel’.

And some on the left are using the episode as an excuse to limit free speech and to impose rejected policies such as the “Fairness Doctrine.”

“Expanding the context of the attack to blame and to infringe upon the people’s constitutional liberties is both dangerous and ignorant.”

Well said Sarah.

“America By Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag,” is Sarah Palin’s new book.

Sarah’s first book “Going Rogue” was a memoir that sold more than 2 million copies.

The new America By Heart is a tribute to American values.

With a new book, new TV series, and continued appearances on Fox News, Sarah Palin is certainly front and center with the media and public. As a result there has been increased discussion about whether she will run for President in 2012.

However, in her promotional book tour she is not trying to hit political hot spots. Rather, it has been reported that like the tour for Going Rogue Sarah will be visiting conservative strongholds and avoiding ultra-liberal spots like San Franciscol

In America by Heart Sarah discusses a variety of topics and persons.

Palin talks about politics, of course. But also religion, pop culture, movies, and leadership.

A wide range of people are discussed, from Presidents Obama, Reagan and Kennedy, and topics such as faith, American Idol, and movies like It’s a Wonderful Life, American Beauty and Juno.

Overall, it is a call to return to basic values which have made America strong and a request that leaders reflect the values the American public wants.

It will make good reading and a great gift.

NPR reporter Juan Williams was fired by NPR because of a comment he made on Fox news that he gets “nervous” when on a plane and sees people dressed in “Muslim garb”.

Who wouldn’t?

After all, it was Islamic radicals who killed thousands of Americans. Islamic radicals who have made subsequent attempts to try and bring down planes. Islamic radicals who keep plotting to kill you, me, and thousands more.

As a result of NPR’s continued left-wing censorship and wrongful termination of Mr. Williams for simply being honest about his beliefs, Sarah Palin has called upon Congress to defund NPR.

Instead of National Public Radio they should be National Private Radio says Sarah.

It has been said that NPR today does not receive much federal funding. Good. Defunding shouldn’t be a concern then.

The bigots at National Politically Correct Radio do not deserve any taxpayer funding if they are not willing to tolerate debate and accept people of differing beliefs.

Finally, Sarah made a pointed challenge to President Obama to come out on the issue. So far, he has ducked it. But when Obama comes out on the “non-Muslim” side of something it will be a first.
