Sarah Palin issues her Blood Libel Video responding to liberals trying to score political points from the Arizona assassination attempt of Representative Giffords.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Ironically, the shooter was not a right-wing critic of Gabrielle Giffords. Instead, if anything, a left-wing pot smoking nut case. Getting to the bottom line: this was not a political issue. The shooter was simply a maniac. Obsessed with Representative Giffords for years. Years before the Tea Party was even born.

But that hasn’t stopped some in this country where politics is poison. Where it is more important to try and destroy someone with an opposing viewpoint than it is to do the people’s business.

That is why voters keep voting for change. Kicking out incumbents, first Republicans, and now Democrats, until someone gets the message.

Now we see it again. First Palin is attacked by the left in the aftermath of the shootings and killings. Now she is again attacked because she uses the phrase ‘blood libel’.

And some on the left are using the episode as an excuse to limit free speech and to impose rejected policies such as the “Fairness Doctrine.”

“Expanding the context of the attack to blame and to infringe upon the people’s constitutional liberties is both dangerous and ignorant.”

Well said Sarah.

The judge declined to order him to jail. Judge Thomas Phillips noted that David Kernell should get treated for mental health problems because he has been depressed.

Apparently, the depression has existed since he was 11. But not severe enough that he could not attend school. Graduate from high school. Attend college. Or figure out how to hack into Sarah Palin’s email account and distribute what he found – and brag about it.

The judge rejected the prosecutor’s recommendation that he be sentenced to 18 months in jail.

Although Kernell should have been even more depressed about being found guilty felony unauthorized access to a protected computer and destroying records to impede a federal investigation – which normally would have a penalty range for someone in Kernell’s position of 15 to 21 months – instead after being sentenced he smiled.

Judge Thomas Phillips was appointed to the bench by President George W. Bush.

No word yet on whether being depressed will lead a mass of Tennessee felons requesting to be released into halfway houses.

“WHEREAS, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was established on July 26, 1908, and commemorates its 100th anniversary this month. The FBI continues to evolve to meet its national security and criminal investigative missions in a post-September 11 world.

WHEREAS, today’s FBI is stronger and more agile than ever before. The FBI is becoming a highly-trained, electronically sophisticated, internationally networked organization. The FBI’s mission is to defend America from global terrorism and global crime, while at all times upholding our civil liberties.

WHEREAS, the FBI was created 100 years ago because crime had begun to cross country and state lines. Today, thanks to the rise of globalization, crime and terrorism can cross international boundaries with a single keystroke. Our adversaries can be anywhere in the world or on the internet.

WHEREAS, the FBI is not just facing kidnapers, gangsters, and thieves-it is facing terrorists, spies, hackers, violent gangs, international organized crime syndicates, corrupt corporations, and public officials and those who traffic in weapons, narcotics, and even human beings.

The FBI has as its core values:

• Rigorous obedience to the Constitution of the United States; • Respect for the dignity of all those we protect;

• Compassion;

• Fairness;

• Uncompromising personal integrity and institutional integrity;

• Accountability by accepting responsibility for our actions and decisions and the consequences of our actions and decisions; and

• Leadership, both personal and professional.

WHEREAS, the FBI has more than 90 dedicated FBI agents and professional support employees who serve in Alaska.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Sarah Palin, Governor of the state of Alaska, do hereby proclaim July 26, 2008, as:

FBI Day

in Alaska, and encourage Alaskans to wish the FBI a happy 100 year anniversary.”

(Governor Palin Proclamation, Official Alaska Press Release, June 12, 2008.)

“I thank Senator McGuire and the numerous other legislators who helped craft this comprehensive approach to strengthening public safety…. These are good steps toward sound public safety policy. We must continue to meet the needs of law enforcement and the judicial system to keep our citizens safe.”
